Crawford Nursery, a family-owned and operated business located in Odenville, Alabama, has proudly served the greater Birmingham area for over 47 years. Will Crawford, the third generation in the family, now runs the daily operations.

The nursery was established when Jack Crawford, Will’s grandfather, purchased the Odenville property in 1978. Jack’s wife, Norma, played a significant role in their partnership; she worked a full-time job while helping Jack transform their small nursery into a thriving enterprise.

Every evening, Jack would take his cash drawer home, and after dinner, Norma would handle the bank deposit.

In 1990, the business transitioned to Jack’s son, Bill. Having previously worked in the construction industry, Bill decided to get involved in the nursery. He attended night school to study horticulture and utilized his construction experience to expand the company, ultimately doubling its size. Under his leadership, the business saw significant growth.

As the nursery continued to thrive, Will left his landscape business to join the family venture. His sister, Ginger Hill, a talented landscape designer, also joined the team.

As their grandfather and father retired, Will continued the family legacy, applying the hard work and forward-thinking principles he learned from them. Crawford Nursery, while small, offers personalized advice on plants and landscaping, providing a service often lacking in larger chains. Customers appreciate the extensive selection of thousands of plants, shrubs, flowers, and trees available on the sprawling 10-acre property.

Will and his team work with contractors, realtors, and clients to offer various plants and lawn care products. They look forward to working with you!
